AUTISM FRIENDLY COMMUNITY

A community can make a huge difference for families. It's more than just inclusion. What makes the difference is that people are accepting and accommodating to people with Autism. It's an genuine attempt to seek to understand and a willingness to make some adjustments to be inclusive. No matter whether someone is fully conversational or hasn't learned to communicate yet in a way that works for them...everyone can feel good intentions. When that's present, disruptive behavior can be minimal or not at all because they are made to feel at ease.
