What is a MAPS doctor?

Their mission is to prepare medical professionals in delivering the best possible care to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special needs conditions. They help families assess and treat co-morbid conditions that can greatly improve the daily lives of individuals with autism.

How do I know if my child needs one? The MAPS program was created by leading physicians, scientists, researchers and experts in the area of pediatric special needs, environmental medicine, GI issues, pediatrics, neurological disorders, genetics, nutrition and mitochondrial dysfunction, etc.

How can I find a MAPS doctor? You can contact the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS) program directly. https://www.medmaps.org/about-us/ Some parents at support groups can also recommend one they see for their child.
